Foroige
2010 was a busy year for Milltown Foroige with 50 members registered in
September. We have had a productive, entertaining and fun year,
attending interclub events, taking part in Foroige X Factor, making
Christmas writhes, decorating the Churches for Christmas. This year
the members decided to purchase two artificial trees that can be used
every year. In May we did the annual clean up and our end of year mass
for those sitting exams. We enjoyed our well earned trip away to
Lilliput Adventure Centre on the 24 and 25 July.
Civil Defence
Congratulations to all the volunteers who recently passed their
various exams, we have four who qualified as Emergency First
Responders, six as Occupational First Aiders. This year we have one
member who will receive the 20 year service medal and others will
receive the 10 year service medal. Classes will resume in the
Resource Center on Wednesday nights at 8 pm from early October, new
members always needed.
