The west Cavan men produced a sterling second-half performance to see off the town side, who finished with 13 men, at the second attempt, after both sides had finished on 1-7 apiece the previous week at Kingspan Breffni Park, where the Shamrocks now know that they missed their chance of a final date with Drumalee.
Crucially, Drumlane recovered to stem the tide with superbly struck points from Stephen McCann (free) and Barry Corrigan and by the break the sides were again inseparable on 0-4 each.
A Corrigan free put Drumlane into the lead early on in the restart, before Bailieborough substitute John Maguire released midfielder Sean Cooney through the centre to tie things up once more. Drumlane put their foot on the throttle after that as scores from McCann (free), Gareth Corrigan and Dane O’Dowd coasted them three clear.
However, it could have been wiped away when Maguire was presented with the game’s only clear-cut goal chance but he was denied the net by a heroic save from Darren Murphy and when Daryl McConnell popped over a fourth unanswered score at the other end, there was no way back for Bailieborough, who had been reduced to 13 men after the sending offs of Dessie O’Reilly and Bird.
Drumlane now meet Drumalee in the final on Sunday week, October 10, in a stand-alone fixture at Kingspan Breffni Park.
