The first meeting was held on 11th October, 2006 and officers elected were as follows:
Chairperson: Paddy Lawlor
Treasurer: Tony Gillies
Secretary: Malachy O’ Reilly who was replaced in 2007 by Martin Brady.
At that meeting it was decided that membership would be open and an annual membership fee of €25 per would be charged with a weekly subscription of €5.00.
Since the club formed, three bowling mats, twenty four pairs of bowls and one double mat roll up has been purchased which have been Grant aided by Cavan County Council, Drumlane Social Services and Lotto funds. The club are most grateful for this support. To date there are twenty two members.
In September, 2007, the first Cavan Indoor bowls league was formed and Milltown club entered one team of six players. This team played in a total of fourteen games, seven away and seven at home and done very well in the competition.
