Ladies Football is alive and kicking in our parish. The underage girls and their trainers, Pat Fitzpatrick, Austin Hands and Dave Coyle are busy preparing for the League Competition which will be starting at the end of March.
Our Feile Officer Paula Teevan- McDonagh is keeping everyone up to date with the preparations underway for the Feile competitions which will take place throughout the County on July 4th, 5th and 6th when 3,500 U-14 boys and girls will visit Cavan to take part in this yearly event. While we don’t know yet what team we will be hosting, the response from parents to our request for host families has been very positive.
Our Junior team is currently being put through their paces by Colm Maguire and Maebh Rowe and look forward to meeting Lavey in the first round of the League on March 22nd.
Rosaleen McGuire and Brigid Sheridan make sure that jerseys are washed, balls kept pumped, water bottles filled up from McGuire’s Spring well, buses booked, mobile phones and watches kept safe during training and matches etc etc
