10 out of 10 for community spirit. It was yet another day never to be forgotten, a fantastic group turned out to cycle, walk and do the treasure hunt. The 10 mile cycle was the brain child of Jennie Wilson and was very well attended. A big thank you to Matt Fitzgerald and Ronan Fitzpatrick for leading the cycle and to Seamus Mc Cann for following the cycle. The spirits were high when everyone arrived back wet to the skin to the smell of the BBQ, the burgers and sausages certainly went down a treat together with the beautiful refreshments which had been prepared by the catering committee. The treasure hunt could not be judged because the sheets had all got so wet, spot prizes were given out instead. The Gardening club sold their freshly grown produce. The local vintage club came along with their motorbikes, cars and tractors, this created a big interest for all present. The evening was rounded off by lovely entertainment by the very talented junior comhaltas group, even though they were wet they still played in tune!
