The visitors dominated the hour from start to finish with John O¢¬¢Dowd, Neil McCann and the excellent Robbie Smith, impressing on his senior captaincy debut, shining at the back, while the likes of John Fitzpatrick, Shane Kelly and Barry Cunningham were picking off the scores up front that created a 0-10 to 0-3 lead at half-time for their side.

In the chilly conditions, Drumlane continued to turn the screw throughout the second-half with substitutes Joey McGuire and Aidan Greene raising a white flag each before a left-footed free from Stephen McCann in injury-time rounded off a 0-16 to 0-6 win for the side under the new managership of Noel Marron and Ollie Fay.
The Sons of O¢¬¢Connell were set to hit the road again that Sunday only for their challenge game at Swanlinbar to be called off due to the heavy snow fall.
More challenge matches are expected for the coming weekends before the first round of the ACFL Division Two which throws-in for Drumlane on March 1 against Mickey Graham’s Ballyhaise at O¢¬¢Connell Park, Milltown.
